Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 4 French rolls, split and toasted
  • 1 cup Shredded lettuce
  • 1 Tomato, sliced
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Hot sauce

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, and Cajun seasoning.
  2. 2. Dip shrimp in buttermilk, then dredge in flour mixture.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry shrimp until golden brown.
  4. 4. Mix mayonnaise and hot sauce to make the sauce.
  5. 5. Assemble the sandwich: spread sauce on rolls, add lettuce, tomato, and shrimp.
