Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 4 large Carrots peeled and sliced
  • 2 stalks Celery chopped
  • 1 large Onion peeled and halved
  • 3 cloves Garlic peeled
  • 1 bunch Fresh Dill tied together
  • 1 bunch Fresh Parsley tied together
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Place the chicken in a large pot and cover with water.
  2. 2. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and skim off any foam.
  3. 3. Add the carrots, celery, onion, garlic, dill, and parsley.
  4. 4. Simmer for about 2 hours, or until the chicken is tender.
  5. 5. Remove the chicken and vegetables from the pot. Strain the broth.
  6. 6. Season the broth with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. 7. Serve hot, with pieces of chicken and vegetables if desired.
