Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg beaten
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 1 onion finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Gravy
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, beaten egg, bread crumbs, finely chopped onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into 4 patties.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties until browned on both sides and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Cook until onions are soft and golden.
Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir well. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens.
Return the patties to the skillet and spoon gravy over them. Simmer for a few minutes to heat through.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice.
