Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef stew meat cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup Barley
  • 4 cups Beef broth
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 Carrots sliced
  • 2 Celery stalks sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper or to taste
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions

  2. 2. Stir to combine.
  3. 3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef and barley are tender.
  4. 4. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
