Ingredients 

Grits

  • 1 cup grits
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions 

  1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add grits and cook until thickened, about 20 minutes. Stir in cheese and butter.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink, about 5 minutes. Stir in lemon juice.
  3. Serve shrimp over grits.
