  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 ounces)
  • 4 cups fish stock
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lb clams, scrubbed
  • 1 lb mussels, scrubbed and debearded
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb firm white fish, cut into chunks (like cod or halibut)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and red bell pepper. Cook until softened.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, fish stock, white wine, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Add clams and mussels. Cover and cook until they start to open, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add shrimp and fish chunks. Simmer until shrimp are pink and fish is cooked through, about 5 more minutes.
  5. Discard any clams or mussels that did not open. Stir in fresh parsley before serving.
