Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 can Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
