Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
