- 1 lb Ham diced
- 2 cups Dried beans soaked overnight
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 4 cups Chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper to taste
1. In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
2. Add the diced ham and cook for a few minutes until slightly browned.
3. Add the soaked beans, chicken broth, salt, and pepper to the pot.
4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 2 hours or until beans are tender.
5. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.
