Ingredients

  • 1 lb Breakfast sausage
  • 6 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 6 slices Bread, cubed
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the cubed bread, cooked sausage, and 1 ½ cups of the shredded cheese to the egg mixture. Stir to combine.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
