Chakchouka Shakshouka Recipe
A delicious North African and Middle Eastern dish made with poached eggs in a spicy tomato and pepper sauce.

Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 4 eggs
- to taste salt and pepper
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Add chopped tomatoes, cumin, paprika, and chili powder. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Make small wells in the sauce and crack the eggs into them.
Cover the skillet and cook until the eggs are set.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley.
