Dough
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup chopped cabbage
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
3. Add flour, salt, and vegetable oil to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
4. In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Add cabbage, onion, salt, and pepper. Cook until vegetables are tender.
5. Roll out dough and cut into squares. Place filling in the center of each square. Fold and seal edges.
6. Place bierocks on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
