Filling
- 1 lb Beef stew meat cut into cubes
- 1 cup Carrots diced
- 1 cup Peas
- 1 cup Potatoes diced
- 1 cup Beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
Crust
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Butter cold, cubed
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ¼ cup Ice water
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add beef and cook until browned.
Add carrots, peas, and potatoes. Cook for 5 minutes.
Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
Add beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
In a bowl, mix flour and salt for the crust. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add ice water and mix until dough forms.
Roll out dough and place over filling in a baking dish. Cut slits in the top for steam to escape.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
