Ingredients 

Soup Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef Stew Meat cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 pcs Carrots sliced
  • 2 pcs Celery Stalks sliced
  • 1 pc Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper ground

Dumpling Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Butter melted

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, brown the beef stew meat over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cook until softened.
  3. 3. Pour in the red wine and beef broth, bring to a boil.
  4. 4. Add the sliced carrots, celery, thyme, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  5. 5. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt for the dumplings.
  6. 6. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
  7. 7. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling batter into the simmering soup. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  8. 8. Serve hot and enjoy!
