Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef stew meat cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup Lentils rinsed and drained
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 carrots Carrots sliced
  • 2 stalks Celery sliced
  • 6 cups Beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  2. 2. Add the onion and garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. 3. Stir in the carrots and celery. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the lentils, beef broth, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  5. 5. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30-35 minutes, or until the lentils are tender.
  6. 6. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
